Belonging to No10 Squadron RAF, crashed on the night of 15/16th February 1942 while returning from a raid on St Nazaire. Due to poor weather and the loss of their radio the crew became lost and after running short on fuel they all bailed out succesfully, leaving the Halifax to continue on to crash on the moors in Swaledale.
