Belonging to No228 OTU, crashed on 29th September 1959 after losing an engine due to a fire whilst on a training flight out of RAF Leeming. After shutting down the second engine after another fire warning the crew ejected safely leaving the aircraft to fly on before eventually hitting the moorland north of Castle Bolton.*
