 Belonging to 166 Squadron the Heyford crashed on 22nd July 1937 while carrying out a night cross country exercise. After leaving RAF Leconfield the crew found themselves flying into poor weather with low visibility and they became lost and strayed off course.

The crew of 6 all perished in the crash:-

Crashed on 30th December 1963 after it was caught in a downdraught while flying from what is now Teeside Airport to Manchester. The two people on board were injured but survived the crash.

 Belonging to No 16 FTS the Anson crashed on 11th December 1944 while flying personel from RAF Newton to Millom. Although there were some injuries everyone on board survived the crash.

Crashed on 5th October 1943 while returning from a raid on Frankfurt. It had been attacked and damaged by a Nightfighter over the target and was lost and low on fuel.
