Flew into 500ft cliffs which were hidden by fog. Hit cliff 100 feet below the top above Lumsdaine Beach 1½ miles NW of St. Abbs Head. The pilot (Squadron Leader Paul Victor Lloyd) had no chance to eject and was killed*.
